E-commerce Shopping Cart

Selling online opens up your business to a potentially unlimited global client base to reach more potential customers. With WooCommerce you can have full control over your online shop and easily update product information, pricing and check client orders yourself.

Just want a catalogue?

Sometimes we use WooCommerce as a catalogue to showcase and organise products without any e-commerce. The system can also be used to carry out all the tasks of collecting the order but without payment. This ensures you have the buyers data and can take the order request and arrange payment afterwards. This is often the case when shipping is more complex.

Why WooCommerce ?

As you may have read above, WooCommerce has many options for how it can be used, plus it is affordable and scalable. Once WooCommerce has been added to your website it can be customised to use different payment providers. WooCommerce also offers a multitude of shipping options and of course will be used for adding your products or services and arranging them in categories. WooCommerce is the most popular eCommerce platform (yes, even more popular than Shopify) and it is easy to manage your orders. Sometimes just a little bit of tuition is needed to get started, but that is what I love to do!

Secure shopping

We provide SSL certificates as standard. This is what shows in the address bar as the green padlock and shows HTTPS which means your site is secure.

Plus we do not collect any payment data on your site, this is managed by a payment gateway such as PayPal or Stripe.

What is a payment Gateway?

You may have heard of some of the more popular payment gateways such as PayPal or Stripe. These manage the payments from your site, so details are not taken and stored on your site. They collect the money and take the responsibility.

As payment gateway allows customers to transfer funds to you via the payment gateway. There is likely to be a fee for this service, so please check their small print  for prices.

All merchants who process credit card information must be PCI compliant, and having a PCI-compliant gateway is only one part of it.

PCI compliance

PCI compliance is a security checklist from PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) to reduce fraud.

All merchants that accept card payments are responsible for their own PCI compliance.

Using fully outsourced third party  payment providers is the safest option for accepting payments and you can make sure they are a PCI DSS validated third party.

WorldPay is certified as compliant with Visa’s Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and holds certification under many programs and standards, including the Visa Cardholder Information Security Program, Mastercard Site Data Protection Program and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 18 SOC 1.
